Battleship NORTH CAROLINA is armed with four types of guns:

  • Nine 16" guns - used for shore bombardment and against enemy ships.

  • Twenty 5" guns - used for shore bombardment and to defend against enemy airplanes.

  • Sixty 40mm guns - used for anti-aircraft defense.

  • Thirty-Six 20mm guns - used for close-in defense against enemy airplanes.
